You Don’t Need More Motivation. You Need a Routine.

You can’t build your production around motivation.

Some days you’re going to feel great. You’re making calls, following up, having good conversations and everything feels easy. Other days you’re tired, you hear a few no’s in a row, and you’re just not feeling it.

That’s normal.

What matters is having a routine you can follow on both kinds of days.

I always tell our team that there are certain things we can control. We can’t control who is going to buy today, but we can control how many conversations we have, how well we follow up, how many opportunities we create and whether we actually do the things we said we were going to do.

That’s why I like breaking a big goal down into daily activity.

If your goal is 100 apps, staring at “100” every morning probably isn’t going to help you much. What helps is knowing what a good day needs to look like for you.

How many people do you need to talk to? How many follow-ups should you have? What should be sitting in your pipeline?

Then you come in and work the process.

And if you have a bad day, you don’t immediately decide that everything needs to change. You look at what happened, make an adjustment and keep going.

I’ve seen people lose a lot of momentum because every time something doesn’t work for a couple of days, they start looking for a new strategy.

Most of the time, you don’t need a completely new strategy.

You need enough consistency to see what’s actually working and what isn’t.

Motivation is great when you have it.

But your routine is what carries you when you don’t.
