Cheap Insurance Usually Costs More
When people bring up price, I like to bring up this article:
Cheap Insurance Usually Costs More
Let’s talk business today.
To quote the old Sesame Street song, “One of these things is not like the other.”
When a customer or prospect tells me about a quote that’s substantially lower than mine, I usually recommend getting a third opinion.
Why?
Because one of those quotes is probably the outlier.
Either:
I’m abnormally high… Or the other company is abnormally low.
Nine times out of ten, it’s the latter.
And that means the quote probably isn’t sustainable.
Driving a nice car or owning a beautiful home while insuring it with a bottom-feeder company is a little like getting eye surgery in Bangladesh — not advisable.
Because if something goes wrong, it becomes life-changing in a hurry.
Be careful chasing the cheapest option.
Cheap is as cheap does.
And in the rare cases where we lose a customer over price, we tell them upfront:
68% of the defectors we actually want back return within 18 months. Most of them come back within a year.
Why?
Because eventually people realize the difference between a quote… and a company.
We are a mighty river.
You can go against the flow — or with the Flo — but not for very long.
